For my first crack at Kenyon’s books, I’d say this was average at best. Our story covers the curse-breaking of one Macedonian sex slave and a sex therapist who was scarred years ago by an incident with another man, leaving her with her own issues. As a whole, the premise worked well enough, incorporating elements of Greek mythology and ancient […]
This week’s prompt is favorite 2016 releases. If I’m being quite honest, I really haven’t read enough releases from this year to even make a top ten list for this week, and I missed last week from illness so I didn’t want to skip 2 in a row. So instead, here are 10 books that have been released so far […]
I won’t bore you with a summary of this book because it’s quite simple: vengeful daughter seeks to destroy her enemies. Now while that alone could hold endless possibilities with plenty of action and intrigue, instead it was just plain boring. For nearly 95% of the book I questioned whether it was worth continuing or not.

This week’s prompt was Top Ten Reasons I Love XXX so I decided to talk about both physical books and eReaders, both of which I love. It’s also been a standing debate between my mother and me, so for anyone who can’t decide what to use, here’s reasons to love both. Physical Books They’re memory catchers. Have you ever re-read a book and […]
Two teens. Only one can be the Imperial Enchanter. Let the games begin. I was, perhaps, too excited for this book. After all the raving on Twitter I thought I absolutely had to read it. So I did. And while it was good, it wasn’t great. The premise is that in this alternate Russia, there can only be one person with magic — the Imperial […]
If I’m being perfectly honest, I don’t like beaches. Nor have I been to one in years and maybe twice total in my life. But I imagine beaches are a place to lay back and relax for most people, where you want to ignore everything (and everyone) around you with a good book. So here are my top 10 “beach” […]
