You’re Going to Have a #ROAR-ing Summer!

POSTED ON March 22, 2017 BY Austine IN Giveaway

Okay, that one was really bad, I know. But hey, I never claimed to be good at this kind of stuff

A little bit ago, I was lucky enough to be chosen as a member for Cora Carmack’s ROAR street team. Now I’ve read ROAR and though I can’t share my review just yet, let me tell y’all….this book is AMAZING!

You’ve got your awesome storm magic mixed with a little mystery, some swoon-worthy gentlemen, the whole package! The only thing that stopped me from reading it in one sitting was that whole college business (what’s that about). And obviously I HAVE to share this book with all of you. That’s how this whole book thing works, right?

ROAR doesn’t come out until June but I want to get the word out now about this summer release so I have something special for y’all…

In a land ruled and shaped by violent magical storms, power lies with those who control them.

Aurora Pavan comes from one of the oldest Stormling families in existence. Long ago, the ungifted pledged fealty and service to her family in exchange for safe haven, and a kingdom was carved out from the wildlands and sustained by magic capable of repelling the world’s deadliest foes. As the sole heir of Pavan, Aurora’s been groomed to be the perfect queen. She’s intelligent and brave and honorable. But she’s yet to show any trace of the magic she’ll need to protect her people.

To keep her secret and save her crown, Aurora’s mother arranges for her to marry a dark and brooding Stormling prince from another kingdom. At first, the prince seems like the perfect solution to all her problems. He’ll guarantee her spot as the next queen and be the champion her people need to remain safe. But the more secrets Aurora uncovers about him, the more a future with him frightens her. When she dons a disguise and sneaks out of the palace one night to spy on him, she stumbles upon a black market dealing in the very thing she lacks—storm magic. And the people selling it? They’re not Stormlings. They’re storm hunters.

Legend says that her ancestors first gained their magic by facing a storm and stealing part of its essence. And when a handsome young storm hunter reveals he was born without magic, but possesses it now, Aurora realizes there’s a third option for her future besides ruin or marriage.

She might not have magic now, but she can steal it if she’s brave enough.

Challenge a tempest. Survive it. And you become its master.

  1. If I could control one storm I want to say I’d choose Fire storm b/c it wouldn’t make me feel the most in control. Twisters and Thunderstorms are scary. haha. I’m a wimp.

  2. This book sounds awesome and I already had it on my TBR, so I’m looking forward to reading it! Thanks for the chance to win! Also, if I could control one storm heart, I’d probably go with Thunderstorm or Skystorm. I love thunderstorms, but it’d be awesome to control the sky, too!! They’re both so beautiful 🙂

I’d choose to be Thunderstorm because thunderstorms are my comfort. I feel absolutely safe being surrounded by them so I’d like to possess a magic that’s not foreign but a part of me 😂
