Things move quickly after Holden initiates the shutdown sequence of Arcadia. Questions swirl as they grab supplies and hurry to stay ahead of the oncoming caretakers whose circuitry seems programmed to kill. With danger closing in, the time has come to run. True, they have a map – though to what they aren’t quite sure.
You live. You love. You Die. Now RUN. ReMade is a thrilling sci-fi adventure that will take readers past the boundaries of time, space, and even death.
This is the 15th episode of ReMade, a 15-episode serial from Serial Box Publishing. This episode was written by Kiersten White.
ReMade Season One: In one moment the lives of twenty-three teenagers are forever changed, and it’s not just because they all happen to die. “ReMade” in a world they barely recognize – one with robots, space elevators, and unchecked jungle – they must work together to survive. They came from different places, backgrounds, and families, and now they might be the last people on earth. Lost meets The Maze Runner in exciting serial adventure.
It’s over. FINALLY. And I’m not happy.
I know, I know, you need a cliffhanger to make people want to read the next season, except this serial has caused so much frustration for me that I have absolutely no inclination of continuing on with season 2.
The writers involved in this serial have all been amazing, and the quality of the writing has been pretty consistent the whole way through. But the story… oh, the story. They just had to end on a cliffhanger. And not even a smaller one. You know, enough to entice readers to look forward to the next season but also answering questions that needed answers.
I think what I really wanted was for the teens to find some semblance of peace. Not so much that there isn’t more of a story to continue, but ending this chapter in their lives and starting a new one with different obstacles. Instead, they’re once again facing the caretakers and the natural workings of the world to cause the problems.
Inez. I’m so done with her.
The last episode, beside featuring my least favorite character who sucks at leading no matter what she believes of herself, also had a heartbreaking moment with another death.
This story ends on a mysterious note, leaving the reader to question if the group will find any other humans, if they’ll reach the place that Arcadia told them about, if they’ll even survive.
And I’ve found that I don’t care about any of them. I spent all season looking for answers that I still don’t have, and I honestly don’t think this serial is worth it for this kind of ending. If it’s something you are interested in, I’d hold off until there’s at least another season or some kind of bind-up of the episodes because the cost just wasn’t worth the content, for me.
But it’s over. I’m done with ReMade.
