Beat the Backlist // The TBR List

POSTED ON October 29, 2016 BY Austine IN Challenge

The Beat the Backlist challenge is to help decrease those TBR stacks of already-released titles that tend to get pushed aside in favor of newer books. For the full challenge information, click the link below:

For 2017, I want to read 100 books off my backlist TBR! While I’m not 100% sure which books I’ll end up reading, I’ve listed some that I want to try and get to.

I’m also setting a personal goal to read one book off my shelves and one off my eReader each week since I’ve had so many build up on my Kindle. >.<

Are you going to try the BTB challenge? What’s on your list?

  1. The Darkest Minds is one of my absolute favorite YA Fantasy books/series! I hope you like it! This is a really great list! It may take me some time to think out my TBR for this… which I probably won’t stick with 100% anyway. I’m a mood reader, so TBR’s don’t usually work out too well for me. But gonna try anyway!

    • I’ve heard so many good things so I knew it had to be on here!

I’m definitely not going to be sticking to this list XD Going for 100 books but I already know this list will change around. It’s just a starting point!

  2. This is such a good idea. Will be joining. There are some amazing books on your list. I loved the whole Smoke & Bone series but would probably reread the first before starting. Anna &FK, E&P, PS… all stunning.

I have so many books that I haven’t read yet I feel guilty. It’s a bit daunting and I am currently at a stand-still. I don’t know what to read next. You’ve got 100 books on your list @.@ how do you not feel intimidated by such a number?

    • Well I read around 130 books from May to December this past year so 100 isn’t all that unreasonable for a whole year for me, factoring in new releases. 🙂 Fast reader 😉

I think this will be a great challenge for me. (I do believe my Kindle whimpers every morning when I fire it up…there’s so many books on there!) Also, I’m hoping to do better this year at keeping records of what I’ve read, so….
